Dustin Sylvia

Dustin Sylvia is a New England-born filmmaker based in Washington, DC. After graduating from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in film and communications and a Masters Degree in GIS, he joined the Impact Story Lab at the National Geographic Society in 2017. Since then, he has produced and edited a multitude of films and documentaries highlighting the important work of Nat Geo explorers and initiatives, from the Last Wild Places series of shorts to the Saving the Florida Wildlife Corridor impact film. Dustin hopes to continue to work collaboratively with local storytellers like those involved with Nkashi: Race for the Okavango in order to tell the most authentic and impactful stories possible.
