Nicky Milne

Having studied Law at the L.S.E. Nicky spent many years in factual television, presenting, directing/producing and executive producing a range of programming. She specialised in directing documentaries involving current affairs and foreign shoots, before taking a position as an Executive in Factual Commissioning at the BBC. She left the BBC to undertake a Masters in Photojournalism, passing with Distinction. To fulfil a passion for both film and photography, she joined a global NGO whose mission is to help alleviate poverty world-wide, becoming Head of Film and Photography. Two years ago she joined Thomson Reuters Foundation and oversees documentary output for the Foundation, spearheading strong documentary and ensuring the output reaches global channels as well as festivals, conferences and debates. She personally films/photograph across the globe, as well as executive produces content. She is passionate about factual story-telling, combining vital content, journalistic rigour and outstanding visuals, to bring out the best.
