Ilana Lapid

Ilana Lapid is a filmmaker and educator interested in telling stories that put a human face on global conflicts. She holds a BA from Yale and an MFA in Film Production from the University of Southern California. Lapid has directed multiple films that won awards at international film festivals. In 2017, her film Yochi was selected by ShortsTV as one of ten films that they Oscar qualified. Yochi was used by Wildlife Conservation Society for conservation education in Central America, and was included in the educational toolkit of the US Wildlife Trafficking Alliance. Lapid is an Assistant professor at the Creative Media Institute of New Mexico State University.
