Rita Ferrando

Rita Ferrando is a Canadian-Argentinian director, her work centers on the nature of desire, humanistic stories and the language of poetry. She studied at the National Ballet of Canada before pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) in Film Studies.

Ferrando’s films have been screened at, Toronto International Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma Beijing International Short Film Festival, True/False Film Festival, 25 FPS Festival, RIDM Montreal International Documentary Festival, MDFF, Intersección and Winnipeg Underground Festival. Her recent exhibitions and online works include: seen only, heard only through someone else’s description at McEvoy Foundation for the Arts and Flower and Desk in Spring at Centre A.

She currently lives in Toronto and works on commissions as a director and is in development of her feature script Speaker / Receiver.
