Kristi Drexler

Kristi is a full-time instructor of Human Ecology, Geography and Resource Conservation for American Public University. She is also a PhD student in Educational Leadership at New Mexico State University (NMSU). In the late 90s, Drexler served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Belize. She returns each year and considers Belize her second home. Drexler often conducts community interviews in Belize and she is currently producing a feature documentary about Yellow-Headed Parrots there. Drexler founded the Belize Field School Program at NMSU, coordinating two short documentary filmmaking courses. Drexler serves on the board of directors for Full Basket Belize, a U.S. nonprofit, which provides high school scholarships and community grants in Belize.
