When the ice melts in Thule, Tuvalu will drown in the ocean. Climate change is a heartbreaking reality that is rapidly, irreversibly ravaging inhabitants’ existence at both corners of the globe. With Thule’s glacial ice melting at record levels and Tuvalu’s landmass sinking below the rising sea, the inhabitants must respond or perish. This film portrays how the inhabitants are forced to abandon their traditional ways of life as they move toward an unknown future.

Directed by Matthias von Gunten. Produced by Valentin Greutert and Simon Hesse.
