The Naval Heritage Center is located in the heart of the Penn Quarter and offers visitors the chance to learn about the history and heritage of the men and women of the United States Navy – past, present and future.

Just off the Memorial plaza, the center has timely and informative interactive exhibits in the Gallery Deck and screens several movies daily, including the Discovery Channel’s “At Sea” and “A Year in the Life of A Navy Supply Corps Officer.” The Ship’s Store sells nautical and Lone Sailor-branded merchandise. The Media Resource Center provides a library of printed, audio and video historical documents on the Navy and The Navy Log room has touch-screen kiosks to register and search for Sea Service members and veterans.

 

Parking: USNMF offers discounted parking validation for up to 7 HOURS at the PMI Parking Garage located at 875 D Street, NW (between 8th and 9th Streets) on the day of your event. The reduced price is $13.00 per ticket. Parking tickets can be paid for and validated at the Ship’s Store located inside the Naval Heritage Center between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Outside of the Ship’s Store hours must be arranged with the Event Coordinator not later than five (5) days prior to the event date.


PMI Parking Garage hours:
Monday – Friday: 6:00 a.m. – Midnight
Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – Midnight
Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – Midnight
