Tim Watkins

Tim Watkins is the NPS Science Access & Engagement Coordinator. For over 20 years he has worked to advance understanding and engagement with science as a way of knowing. Throughout his career he has supported and mentored undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of projects. He was a college professor for several years, then moved to National Geographic as a grantmaker and program lead for Bioblitz citizen science projects. He joined the NPS in 2011. One of his current projects is finding and telling stories about national parks that have played important roles in the history of science.
