Myles is a biologist who has been working in the Borderlands for over 20 years. Originally from California, he arrived in Arizona two weeks after the first jaguar was photographed in the US and has been studying the natural and cultural history of the region ever since. He was tasked with doing the cartography and mapping the border wall for the State of California and subsequently mapped and ground-truthed the entire Arizona and New Mexico border walls, providing this data to numerous national and international news outlets. He lives in Tucson, Arizona.
