Jess Tombs

Roles: Director

Jess Tombs has worked for a range of broadcasters including National Geographic, Disneynature and the BBC. On the Disneynature feature film “Born in China,” she worked as a Field Director. She continues with her love and fascination of China’s golden snub-nosed monkeys for National Geographic’s THE HIDDEN KINGDOMS OF CHINA. Tomb’s interests span human and animal behaviour, conservation (she holds a Master’s degree in Primate Conservation) and the pressing issues that face our planet and species – the need for renewable energy, plastic reduction, wildlife protection and reduced-consumption of animals for food. Having spent much of her early 20s living in the wilderness in Africa, she has a great affinity for the outdoors and wild places. Tombs also loves an adrenaline rush and has been known to jump out of planes, white-water raft the Nile and Zambezi, swim with sharks and be charged by mountain gorillas!
