Immediately before joining Plimsoll Productions, Tom Hugh-Jones, executive producer and showrunner of National Geographic’s Hostile Planet, series produced Planet Earth II. This hugely successful series has reached audiences above 13 million in the UK alone and has become the most-watched natural history series for more than 25 years. Prior to that, during his 20-year tenure at the BBC’s Natural History Unit, Hugh-Jones played a key role in originating, developing, producing and directing a wide diversity of wildlife and science programming. Hugh- Jones is perhaps best known for his award-winning work on the BBC’s major wildlife and anthropological blue-chip series, including titles such as Planet Earth, Human Planet and Life Story.
