Regina Thompson

Roles: Special Guest

Regina Thompson has been with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for almost 20 years and currently serves as an Assistant Director. During her tenure she has worked Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, and Criminal investigations and specializes in leading intelligence programs. She also serves as adjunct faculty at the National Intelligence University and Texas A&M’s Bush School of Government and Public Service where she teaches courses in leadership and domestic intelligence.

Prior to her appointment with the FBI, Ms. Thompson served as a clinical counselor and program manager in the non-profit sector and taught English as a second language courses for community groups. Ms. Thompson also worked at Ohio State University’s Foreign Language Resource Center where she edited Chinese textbooks and worked at the university’s Institute for Chinese Studies, where she designed and taught Chinese language, literature, and history courses.

Ms. Thompson is currently pursuing her doctorate from Vanderbilt University in Leadership and Learning in Organizations. She holds a master’s degree from Ohio State University in Social Work/Clinical Counseling, conducted research in the field of cultural psychopathology, and earned undergraduate degrees in Chinese language and Criminology. Ms. Thompson also completed Middlebury College’s intensive Chinese language program.
