Eva Schöfer

Since 2017, Eva Schöfer is the Director of the Austrian Cultural Forum Washington. A diplomat for 16 years, her previous postings included Director of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Mexico, Deputy Director of the human rights department in the Austrian MFA and assignments in the field of European law and human rights in Vienna and Geneva. Before joining the Austrian MFA she worked as program officer and trainer at the European Training Center for Human Rights and Democracy (ETC) in Graz, Austria. She studied law in Graz as well as made an LL.M. in international law and human rights law at the University of Maastricht, Netherlands.
