Ed Robbins is a New York-based independent, multi-award winning director, writer, producer and videographer with 20 years experience who is on assignment in Rwanda for the International Reporting Project (IRP) and TIME.com. He shoots video primarily for hour-long programs, with outlets that include PBS, TIME, Discovery Channel, TLC, National Geographic Channel, and ABC and, in the United Kingdom, BBC and Channel 4. His many documentaries have taken him across the United States and overseas into war zones with extended stays in Afghanistan, Burma, Colombia, Iraq, India, Nigeria, Pakistan and Syria. Topics have ranged from social justice stories and international crises to science and the arts. He has also directed, shot and written short films for The New York Times site in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Colombia and the Amazon.
