A master documentary photographer (and winner of the 1981 Pulitzer for spot news photography) with a fine-art aesthetic and a keen eye for design, Larry’s versatile style enables him to move easily from editorial still and video production to corporate and advertising photography. A world traveler and outdoors enthusiast, Larry has worked on five continents and covered numerous armed conflicts, during which he amassed incredible experiences and developed a cool head under fire.
Now based in Ohio, Larry has worked for five metropolitan newspapers, including The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Sun in Baltimore, the Fort Worth (Texas) Star-Telegram and The Denver Post. He also has photographed stories for National Geographic magazine and is a contributor to PBS NewsHour. Larry’s editorial images and essays have also appeared in many national and international publications.
