Following multiple journeys across Asia, Canadian photographer and filmmaker Maude Plante-Husaruk started using her camera as a tool to document social issues around the world with a strong focus on the remote cultures of India, Nepal, Central Asia and the Middle-East, collaborating with NGOs and local agents of change. Her last short documentary The Botanist shot in Tajikistan has won numerous awards and received great recognition in festivals. Driven by the desire to master the arts of visual storytelling, she continues to work on long term projects in the region.
