Pamela J. Glass

Pamela J. Glass, PhD, has a long history in biodefense research with over 12 years of experience in viral vaccine, therapeutic, and animal model development. Dr. Glass’ lab is currently focused on the development of medical countermeasures for biodefense needs. Specifically her research efforts include the development and characterization of vaccines against filoviruses and alphaviruses, and broad spectrum therapeutics against diverse sets of viral agents, as well as animal model development for eventual licensure of these medical countermeasures. These projects involve studies to examine the effectiveness and targets of potential therapeutics against viruses in cell culture and animal models as well as safety and efficacy of vaccines in animal models.
