Jim Monsma

Jim Monsma is an Executive Director of Second Chance Wildlife Center. The mission of Second Chance Wildlife Center is to provide compassionate, rehabilitative care to orphaned, ill, and injured wild animals, and to advise our community on helping wildlife.

Jim has 20 years of experience in the animal protection field in the Washington, DC area. An avid birder, hiker, and amateur naturalist, Jim has a keen interest in preserving native birds and other wildlife. His efforts were instrumental in launching City Wildlife, the first ever wildlife rehabilitation center in the District of Columbia and the Lights Out DC program for the protection of migratory birds.
