James McEachen

James McEachen has been a commercial and special format cinematographer and lighting director for over 25 years. He began his career working on multiple projects with David Fincher and legendary commercial director Lee Lacy, along with at least a dozen other well-known directors and cinematographers. He was the lighting director on several 3D IMAX projects, including Magnificent Desolation produced by Tom Hanks. In 2005 he began making documentary films for Walt Disney Imagineering and cemented a professional relationship with his lifelong friend Joe Rohde, which ultimately led to their Mongolia trip in 2013 and his first documentary feature, The Leopard in the Land. Jim is also a writer and director with his first theatrical feature film project currently being cast out of the UK and financed by Medienparks NRW in Germany and Wind Fish Motion Pictures in the UK.
