Shelby Lum

Shelby Lum is a staff video journalist at the Associated Press. Previously she was a staff video journalist at the Boston Globe, and before that was a staff video journalist and photographer at the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Lum won eight New England Emmys, and was on the team that won the Toner Prize for Excellence in Political Reporting in 2020. In 2021 Lum was on the team that won the the National Murrow Award for hard news, as well as in 2020 the National Murrow Award for feature reporting. In 2017 and 2018, she won the Northern Short Course Multimedia Photographer of the Year.
