Elizabeth Lo is an award-winning nonfiction filmmaker currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Film at Stanford University. Her short films have been showcased at festivals and venues across the United States and Europe, including DOK Leipzig, DOC NYC, Pravo Ljudski Film Festival, deadCenter Film Festival, and the San Francisco Film Society.
Elizabeth wrote and co-produced for the television documentary series, Our America with Lisa Ling. She also worked as an associate producer for Emmy-award winning film director and mentor Jim Brown (Pete Seeger: The Power of Song). Elizabeth was born and raised in Hong Kong, and received her B.F.A. in English and Film Production from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Her desire to affect change by finding new, aesthetic ways of depicting both human and nonhuman life drives her to documentary filmmaking.
