While studying history, philosophy and film sciences in Vienna, he worked as a film publicist. After studying film history, he has worked with Nikolaus Geyrhalter (book and production manager for Elsewhere and others) since 1998 . In 2003 Michael Kitzberger founded Nikolaus Geyrhalter Filmproduktion GmbH together with Nikolaus Geyrhalter, Markus Glaser and Wolfgang Widerhofer. In recent years, they made numerous award-winning and internationally successful cinema and television documentary films ( Über den Grenze , Unser Täglich Brot , 7915KM ) and the first feature film of the Geyrhalterfilm.
