Kathryn Kullberg

Kathryn Kullberg is the Director of Marine and Wildlife Protection at the Humane Society of the United States, the nation’s most effective animal protection organization. In her role, she works to pass state and federal legislation and enact rulemaking to protect wildlife. Her efforts include blocking bills that expand cruel and unnecessary hunting methods including trapping; combating wildlife killing contests; defending landmark environmental laws including the Marine Mammal Protection Act; expanding critical habitat and mitigating threats to critically endangered North Atlantic right whales; and working to ban the possession, sale, and trade of shark fins. Prior to HSUS, Kathryn worked at Defenders of Wildlife protecting endangered species and their habitat.
