Sarah Kaplan

Sarah Kaplan is a climate journalist at The Washington Post covering humanity’s response to a warming world. She has reported from two U.N. climate conferences, a tent on top of the Greenland ice sheet, and countless communities on the front lines of climate change. She won the 2023 Evert Clark/Seth Payne Award, the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing’s annual prize for young journalists; her work has also been recognized by the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Geophysical Union. Kaplan is a Brooklyn native and graduate of Georgetown University.
