Julie Taddeo is the co-founder of Safe Grow Montgomery, a coalition of environmental and health advocacy groups that fights for pesticide-free lawns, parks, and playing fields in Montgomery County, Maryland. In her day job, she’s a professor of British history and writes about British popular culture. She grew up eating dandelion greens that her father picked from their pesticide-free yard.
