John A. Kliem is the Executive Director of the Department of Navy (DON)’s Resilient Energy Program Office (REPO). He became an SES in August, 2016. In his role as Executive Director, Mr. Kliem oversees the planning, coordination and integration of energy resiliency projects at REPO in Naval Facilities Engineering Command, directly reporting to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Installations, Energy and Environment). REPO was initially tasked with bringing one gigawatt (GW) of renewable energy into procurement by the end of 2015. Having surpassed that goal, REPO is now working to enhance the DON’s energy security by developing resiliency projects on Navy and Marine Corps Installations.
