Ian James is a reporter who writes about water and the environment for The Desert Sun in Palm Springs. He is a member of the newspaper’s investigative team, and his work also regularly appears in USA Today. He wrote a series about climate change in the Southwest that won an Associated Press Media Editors’ Journalism Excellence Award for Digital Storytelling. He was also recently awarded the American Meteorological Society’s Award for Distinguished Science Journalism in the Atmospheric and Related Sciences.
