In 2011, his first documentary “Sucumbíos Tierra sin Mal” opens Ecozine International Film and Environment Festival – City of Zaragoza , within the Premiere section. He received 8 prizes for this work, including a UN Recognition in Ecuador for the defense of Human Rightsand the International Survival Honorary Award for the best indigenous documentary at the Film and Human Rights Festival in Barcelona. Likewise, This documentary received the award for best international documentary at the II Latin American and International Short Film Festival Albufera Films (Argentina) and the Best Short Film Award in the Amazon Doc in Belem – Pará (Brazil) . Signis has also received special mentions and Human Rights in the Latin American Festival of video and visual arts of Rosario (Argentina).
Later, with the support of EJOLT (Environmental Justice Organizations Liabilities and Trade) performs two more documentaries in the Ecuadorian Amazon: “The Sarayaku case” and “Yasuní, good living”, awarded in the I Certamen PUBLISHERS SOCIAL AUDIOVISUAL of Granada , organized By ASAD (Asociación Solidaria Andaluza de Desarrollo).
His works have been broadcast on television ( TV3, Aragón TV , Televisión de Sucumbíos ) and have toured more than 160 festivals in 20 countries, including the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital in Washington, the oldest film and environment festival of the world.
