He was born 1969 in Linz (Upper Austria) and studied musicology at the University of Vienna.  He did various band projects and collaboration in numerous smaller film projects as a sound engineer, composer and manager. During 1996-1999, he was a project manager at the mica (music information center austria). Since 2003 , he has been a producer, shareholder and officer of Nikolaus Geyrhalter Filmproduktion, the internationally successful film and television documentaries produced.
