Noelle Gallagher

Noelle Gallagher is a visual artist based in Galway, Ireland. Although primarily a painter, her expanded practice includes moving image and printmaking techniques. Her new short film Forest/ry recently premiered at Earth Rising Eco Art Festival at the Irish Museum of Modern Art. Her first moving image artwork, Still Life, premiered at Dublin International Film Festival in 2019 alongside two Oscar nominated shorts. A member of Engage Art Studios, Interface, and graduate of ATU (2011), she completed two years of mentoring by established painters with Turps Art School, London. Her paintings have been selected for numerous juried shows both nationally and internationally. She is a recipient of the Emerging Irish Artist Residency Award (2015), the Debi O’Hehir Residency Award from the Tyrone Guthrie Centre (2022), and several Individual Artist Bursaries from Galway County Council. In 2020 she was awarded a bursary from the Arts Council of Ireland.
