Eladio Fernandez is an Associate Fellow and a conservation photographer with the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP). He was born in the Dominican Republic and has spent the last 25 years documenting the flora, fauna and disappearing natural landscapes of the Greater Antilles. His work extends beyond simple documentation as he has contributed to the description of several species of animals and plants. Aristolochias of Haiti is his first effort at producing and directing a short documentary meant to portray his work to audiences that might not be familiar with conservation photography and with a rare group plants. Eladio is also a member of the Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF)’s Advisory Committee.
