In 2011 Eric directed the feature documentary The Redemption of General Butt Naked, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The film was hailed as “an extraordinarily complex odyssey” by the LA Times and “lightening in a bottle” by the Hollywood Reporter. It was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and Best Documentary by the International Documentary Association, and received the Sundance Award for Best Cinematography.
