Dustin Hayes is a musician and artist based in Ventura, CA. Assigned the role of musician aboard the R/V Sally Ride, Dustin stars as the protagonist and narrator of the film Aquatic Cathartic in which he ponders the benefits of collaborations between art and science. He also assisted director Gad Girling with the writing and editing of the film. When not strumming chords on an oceanographic cruise, Dustin records and performs music under the name Walter Etc. and spends most of his time surfing the Ventura coast.
