Cholla Rose Duir

Cholla Rose Duir is a Tucson local whose lifelong connection to the Southwest is rooted in a deep-seated commitment to the environment, art, and social justice. With a career spanning over two decades, Cholla began in veterinary medicine after earning her AS in Veterinary Technology (2003). Her passion for wildlife eventually led her to transition into conservation, earning a BA in Sustainability Studies from Colorado Mountain College (2019). Before joining the Northern Jaguar Project as Assistant Director in October 2023, she helped manage the Borderlands Wildlife Preserve in Patagonia, Arizona. Cholla is thrilled to bring her unique background in animal medicine and sustainability to a team dedicated to the coexistence of ranchers and jaguars.
