Hans den Hartog

Filmmaker Hans den Hartog was born and raised in The Netherlands. He was educated in mechanical engineering, and he worked for many years in the water treatment industry as a sales manger. In 2005, he discovered his true passion: to create human-interest documentaries. After several camera editing courses and directing items for a Press agency, he started his own company, DUCreations Film Productions. His first documentary, Toos & Ron, Live and Let Go (2011) about two terminally ill people at the Johannes Hospice in Vleuten. In 2013, began filming in the Dutch Wadden Sea Islands on his latest project, The Bird Ranger. The film took him three years from idea to realisation. The documentary has been screened on several film festivals in Holland, at the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival in New York and broadcasted on Dutch Public Television.
