Angelica Das is associate director at the Center for Media & Social Impact, where she promotes strategies for socially engaged-media making. Angelica programs and directs the annual Media That Matters conference on cutting-edge practices in strategic design for social issue media. She co-produces the American University Human Rights Film Series, and regularly speaks on social impact documentary at festivals and conferences including IDFA and the Full Frame Documentary Festival. Angelica is a juror for local and national competitions including Justice Matters at Filmfest DC, the DCCAH Media Artist Fellowship Program and the IDA Wolper Student Documentary Award. A true global citizen, Angelica has roots in Poland and India and continues to explore the world through documentary filmmaking.
