Director Julia Dahr is a Norwegian multi award-winning documentary director that is motivated by telling intimate, character-led stories that highlights important human rights and sustainable development issues. Dahr is among the 30 filmmakers under-30 listed by Forbes as “driving and defining the word of media,” and she has received the One World Media Award (for the best media coverage of the developing world), been nominated for best student film for the Grierson Awards and has just finished her first feature documentary Thank You For The Rain that premiered in March 2017 and has been screened in more than 30 countries since.
