Vanessa Castle

Vanessa Castle is a fisheries and wildlife technician for the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, of which she is also a member. She has worked for the LEKT Department of Natural Resources for three years after making a career shift from social work. She continues to attempt to braid her traditional ecological knowledge passed on from her ancestors into this modern day scientific world. She was raised on the Elwha River which she feels an obligation to protect for the next seven generations.
