One of the National Zoo’s biggest stars, Bei Bei is a 3-year-old giant panda who lives up to his name, which in Chinese means “precious” or “treasure.” For Pandamonium: A Virtual Experience, his first 360-degree film, Bei Bei selected fixed positions within the panda yard where he performs his most interesting behaviors. And while he did try to eat a camera – twice — he managed to capture indelible moments during his last few months in the yard with his mom Mei Xiang. Previous credits include the Wild Inside the National Zoo series for Smithsonian Channel and hundreds of news stories.
