He is known for such films as What Happened, Miss Simone? (2015), Made in America (2013), Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory (2011) and Cathedrals of Culture (2014). He recently produced the feature documentary From the Ashes (National Geographic) about coal, climate, and the energy future.
