Rachael Bale

Roles: Special Guest

Rachael Bale is the executive editor of National Geographic’s Animal Desk, where she oversees reporting and storytelling on animals. In that role, she also manages and contributes to Wildlife Watch, an investigative reporting project that focuses on wildlife crime and exploitation. A California native, Bale has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Reed College and a master’s degree in journalism from American University.
