Esteban Arrangoiz

Born in Mexico city on October 19, 1979. He studied a bachelor in media and cultural studies in Macquarie Univesity, Australia and filmmaking  in UNAM Mexico. In 2008 he attends the first Talent Campus Guadalajara specialized in documentary filmmaking, organized by International Guadalajara film festival and the Berlinale Talent Campus. In 2012 he attends as a director to the Berlinale Talent Campus in Berlin. He’s short films have been exhibited in national and international film festivals. Lately he ventured into the field of video installation premiering a collective work 1-00 interference in Laboratorio Arte Alameda. He works as a Director and Cinematographer.

With he’s documentary Lerma River he won in 2010 the José Rovirosa Prize for best student documentary, a Mexican Academy Awards for best short documentary in 2011 and a special mention in Short Shorts film festival 2011. With he short film The dance of three woodlice is winner of the Best Director Award in Proyección Corta Festival 2012. With hes last documentary The Diver he won the award for best short documentary in Morelia International Film Festival.
