A monk, a cultural historian, an author, a teacher and a mystic all describe Thomas Berry. But he is known as a pioneer eco-theologian who created a quiet revolution. Berry decried the way we are despoiling our planet, its beauty and its living systems. And he urged us to change our ways. At the heart of the film is Berry’s experience of the universe as a cosmic liturgy. His values were rooted in a sacred cosmology that includes the entire natural world. Oceans, mountains and all living organisms are not here only for our use but to help us become who we are. Directed and produced by Nancy Stetson and Penny Morell.
