SCALING THE MOUNTAIN: PROTECTING FORESTS FOR FAMILIES IN NEPAL
The foothills of Nepal–a popular tourist destination for their scenic vistas and stunning peaks–have seen significant deforestation in recent decades, pushing many poor, rural communities onto more and more marginal lands. Rapid population growth is a key driver of these dynamics. Population, health and environment (PHE) projects aim to find a solution, showcasing how the Wilson Center connects conservation tools with greater access to reproductive health services, leading to more sustainable communities in Nepal. Executive Producer and Narrator, Sean Peoples.
