Based on the Pulitzer Prize winning novel written by Ernest Hemmingway: it’s the inspiring tale of a fisherman’s epic battle with a giant marlin and his subsequent battle to save his prize from deadly sharks.  – It took Alexander Petrov and his son Dimitri Petrov two years to paint each frame. Over 29,000 images were created for the animation directly on glass.
