Internship Program

Join the largest & longest-running environmental film festival in the United States.

The Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital is the largest and longest-running environmental film festival in the US. Our mission is to advance public understanding of the environment through the power of film. Each semester DCEFF recruits a team of talented and enthusiastic interns to assist in the production of our annual festival and year-round programs.

Our interns become an integral part of DCEFF’s small, creative team, and learn the inner workings of a non-profit organization. Interns are closely mentored by our staff, a team of experts in their fields of film programming, communications, media production, and non-profit development and management. We work with each intern individually to construct an experience that develops their interests and builds upon their talents.

DCEFF interns graduate from the program with high-level experiences and a portfolio of tangible work products ranging from successful fundraising events, to a slate of films in our festival, to web, video and printed content. Our Internship Program has been a valuable career stepping stone for our graduates.*We offer flexible hours and locations, depending on the intern’s school schedule and position responsibilities.
