The Yosemite Conservancy commissioned renowned filmmakers Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan to produce a movie to honor the 150th anniversary of the landmark federal act signed by Abraham Lincoln that preserved Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. The film brings to life a historic moment in America’s conservation history as it focuses on the visionary individuals whose efforts laid the groundwork for Yosemite National Park and who planted the seed for the creation of other national parks.
