Ashley Stroupe

Ashley Stroupe is a robotics software engineer specializing in Mars Rover operations. She has been at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) since completing a Ph.D. in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University in 2003. Initially, she worked in robotics research in the areas of multi-robot coordination, steep terrain access, and sampling before moving full-time to rover operations. Ashley has worked with the Spirit, Opportunity, and Curiosity rovers in various roles. Currently she is the Curiosity Rover Planner (Drive) team lead, and supports both uplink (commanding) and downlink (telemetry analysis) as a Systems Engineer.
