Marián Polák

Marian Polák is a director, cinematographer and producer. He specializes in creating natural history and popular science documentaries. For his documentary Living Image of a Better World, he received the prestigious FITES Trilobit award, as well as recognition at the Ekofilm and NaturVision festivals. As a cameraman and producer, he worked on the ten-part series Stories of Curious Naturalists, directed by Jan Hošek. He co-produced the films Bats in the Dark and The World according to Termites, which received the Grand Prize at the Life Sciences Film Festival. Additionally, he has shot a number of films for Czech Television, ecological charities, and the Prague Zoo, to name a few.
