Julia de Guzman is a writer and filmmaker whose work focuses on the human side of climate, science, and social justice.

She began her film career at HBO Documentary Films in New York and her work has appeared on networks like Showtime, PBS, HBO, A&E, BET, and NHK, programs like Frontline and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and has been selected for festivals including Tribeca, SXSW, DCEFF, and CineQeust, DOC NYC, AFI Docs, and IFF Boston.

Julia also produces video content and branded campaigns for clients including The National Park Service, Women’s March, The New Yorker, The Environmental Defense Fund, The Ford Foundation, The Fund for the City of New York, Montauk Brewing, Fjällräven, and Whalebone Magazine.

She lives and works in midcoast Maine.
